AUSWEB is one of the leading web hosting providers in Sydney/Australia, providing cPanel/Plesk shared Web Hosting and VPS & Dedicated Server hosting for both Windows & Linux. Currently we are looking for friendly and enthusiastic technical staff members join our support & sales team with an interest in learning new skills and working their way up, as our customer base continues to grow. Ideal for recent graduates or those looking to focus on IT support.

Position: Technical Support & Sales Staff Level-1:

Job Description:

Primary Duties:

* Troubleshooting client web hosting issues via online support tickets and telephone support
* Responding to event notifications (Service Down / Load Alerts)
* Telephone Sales support

Secondary Duties:

* Writing articles and how-to's for our support helpdesk and tutorial areas, adding system documentation and knowledgebase articles where necessary and as requested.
* Assist Other staff members in the research and development of new products and technologies.
* Other web design/development related duties as assigned.

Skills required:

* Minimum 1 years experience with cPanel/WHM
* Excellent communication skills written & verbal
* Excellent telephone manner with a focus on strong customer service skills
* Ability to multi-task and remain focused while handling different support tasks and roles.
* Solid problem-solving skills and experience
* Basic Knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL
* Motivation to continually learn new technical skills and to adapt or learn new technologies quickly.

Desirable Attributes:

* Previous study or experience in IT
* Examples of strong web design skills and experience hosting your own websites or reseller web hosting for your own clients
* Previous IT Help Desk or similar Help Desk roles
* Familiarity with popular web hosting control panels - cPanel/WHM, Plesk etc.
* Experience with popular website scripts, blogs and Content Management Systems - such as Joomla!, WordPress, Drupal etc.
* Experience with template/theme design and coding for popular CMS options - Joomla!, WordPress, Drupal etc.
* Strong web development coding/scripting experience (HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript/MySQL)
* Knowledge of online Shopping Cart systems - such as CubeCart, ZenCart, osCommerce

Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week.
Must live in Sydney/Australia.
Location: AUSWEB Sydney office, Alexandria.

Salary: full time salary

The role will include a 3 month trial. Performance will be further reviewed after the trial period.
