Now something like this is pretty good iam not all that farmiliar with webhosting and what it requires i like to be with a company that does offer good and reliable support if needed i would need my current website copied over for me as i dont know how to do that part i only have a reseller account know but i need some ports unblocked for certain things and they are unable to do so that why iam looking at a small dedicated one for my website or a VPS account the 100$ is around my budget
P4 3.0GHz
- 512MB ECC Memory
- 80GB Hard Drive
- 50GB Bandwidth
- Centos
- WHM/cPanel
Monthly: $149
Setup: $99
If any can match that but with a free setup i would seriously concider i hate setup fee's as i assaume lots of people do

Revo,
Just out of interest, if you were considering a VPS, what specs would you be chasing?
Also, this question has already been asked, but are you seeking a managed or unmanaged service?

Re: Needed a VPS Webhosting account

A virtual private server (VPS) provides the same benefits of a dedicated server at a lower cost. The cost savings comes from not having to purchase a physical machine or pay monthly fees to lease a dedicated box. You still get root access, server reboot capabilities, dedicated (virtual) hard drive with a complete LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL & PHP) Solution (or Windows if preferred), dedicated memory (RAM), IP addresses.
As for a dedicated server, you get all of the above, plus the fact that you pay a higher fee for leasing the box within a suppliers datacentre. Hardware failures are one thing you need to factor into dedicated boxes (if you don't have them setup for redundancy) but if you purchase a VPS, 10-1 says that the provider has redundancy in place and if the primary hardware node the VPS is on fails, your VPS is promptly online via a redundant server or the image loaded back onto the existing server node if required.
You can get either of the above managed or unmanaged.
Unmanaged is not recommended if you have little or no unix/windows server experience. Basically, when you have an unmanaged server, its left up to you to look after it.
With a managed service, most providers become the "baby-sitter" of the server...so to speak, but not entirely.
Managed servers usually have a higher pricetag attached to them due to the rising costs of having technical staff on ours/providers end to carry out and software fixes, repairs etc that may need to be done to your server. If a service stops, we restart it or find out why it stopped and fix it. If a Cpanel software update etc causes the server to crash, the tech team can cover that.
Unmanaged you don't get the same level of service and support. Basically you are in control of when and if update happen. If a service stops, it's up to you to find out why and fix it. If a software bug causes your server to crash, its up to you to fix it.
Think of it like a bank and a loan. If you take out a secured loan, you offer something to the bank as "security", whereas unsecured you dont, which leaves you open should you not repay the loan. If they have security, they have something more to work with as you offer them something in return.
Same with hosting; managed means you pay more to cover admin costs (tasks etc) but if you want to look after the server yourself, eliminating our admin/staffing costs etc, then we can reduce the prices to suit.
I hope this information is helpful.
I have explained it as simple as I can. I could of gone into more firm details, but I'll leave it at that for now.
**NOTE**: Each provider offers various types of server management. Be sure to check with each provider as to what their server management entails as not every provider offers the same types of service and support. The above was just an example.
