You send it registered post and jam it full of that bubble cr*p it will be fine.
I've sent servers all over the place and not once has there been an issue with it, and a hdd is much light and more compact + its only one part so the chances of a cord coming loose aren't as high.
Or if its 100% that it needs to be on a server, then why don't you go on ebay and buy one of the old 'pre-loved' servers for not much, and colocate it in a datacenter, then you can just transfer the files from your hard-drive to its and stick it in the rack.
Then all you need to do is pay for 108 worth of bandwidth.
This will still be a much more expensive option, but saves the cost of you paying for 108gb worth of uploads on a home connection.
