Colocation in Brisbane please

Hi Everyone,

We currently have colocation in Brisbane, now full.
Looking to colocate an additional 2-3 servers before Christmas.

600GB per month data transfer in/out (Backup server)
4RU
20 IPs
Dual Power Circuits on sep breakers

Performance requirement - 500k per second access speed from internet.

Reliable redundant internet connection.
If you've had more than 4 hours downtime in the last 3 months this is not for you.

These are application servers running a backup system for production hosts.

Need anything info, just send me a message.

Cheers.

Re: Colocation in Brisbane please

We can help, except for the dual power circuit requirements.

If you don't need this, we can quote you.

With the dual power circuits on separate breakers are you meaning for each server or for the DC as a whole?

Hi Guys,

Yep, dual power from two diff sources so a single breaker outage will not affect us.

Cheers.

Darren.

Hi Darren,

As far as I know this is a feature of only available in the new datacentres located outside of the CBD. Most of the CBD facilities are short on space so a lot of them don't have it.

Generally Brisbane's CBD power supply has been extremely reliable and most have found no actual need for this. But I do see where your coming from.

Just be careful you don't get a provider in the CBD with 2 PDU's in the same rack claiming dual power, sometimes its just 2 x 10Amps circuits off the same feed.

You might want to have a talk to Host Networks (www.hostnetworks.com.au), its my understanding their datacentre out at Eight Mile Plains has dual power feeds to each rack or can be purchased for an extra.

All DC's in Brisbane do offer this as all have A+B Feeds from 2 UPS's. Most customers only pay for a single feed and are therefore supplied either the A or the B.

We can offer this though. I have have a sent a PM.
