Appreciate your prompt reply/quote but would like to ask the following further queries:

1) I was really looking at price range between $40 - $50 AUS per month and so was wondering if Hightek Hosting would consider possibly changing the plan from $55 p/mth to $50 p/mth?

2) If not, if we changed the disk space storage from 5 GB to 3 GB, could this possibly reduce the price to $50 p/mth?

3) Want to confirm that Java support is caters for Java 1.5

Unfortunate, you must of been replying as I was correcting an error with the quote.

The price of the shared plan was actually meant to be $65, not $55

The only way we could offer anything around your price bracket would be to provide it as US based hosting as opposed to Australian, due to the bandwidth pricing in Australian not leaving much room for margain.

This would mean that for AU hosting, we would not be able to get below your $50 a month figure.

In light of all of this, all of our servers will support Java 1.5 / Tomcat, so even if you went for US based hosting you would still get the facilities.

We specialise in Java development, support and hosting. We use only Sun Hardware and use Open Solaris as an operating system, using their containers for virtualization. ie your JVM is not shared.

Our minimum plan offers a solaris zone with 128MB Memory, with 1.5GB disk, for $30.
