multiple domains

Hi

I'm looking for a aussie host that offers hosting for multiple domains...so I am looking for suggestions for a 'entry level' or an 'entry level reseller plan' please.

At the moment I have just the one website - but I do have 4 domain names that I'd like to link to this site - but if it's practical I might look at a reseller plan (even though I don't have any clients to host yet)..

Cheers
Ernie

Re: multiple domains

I'd suggest a small reseller plan from ServersAustralia.com.au

What sort of budget do you have?

Re: multiple domains

Ernie

You have 2 options here - you can get one hosting plan www.webhostsaustralia.com.au/linux.html and 4 URL forwarding accounts @ $22 per year to point to subdomains of your hosting account www.webhostsaustralia.com.au/url_forwarding.htm OR

You can get a 5 domain plan which allows you to host each domain individually with its own control panel stats and every othe rfeature available with a regular hosting plan www.webhostsaustralia.com.au/resell-linux.html for only $25 per month or $250 per year

Cheers
Angus

Re: multiple domains

I see hostess has some excellent priced plans - but I'm not sure how many domains the plans allow, and I can't seem to find much feedback on the hostess service - not sure if thats good or bad.. :-/

Re: multiple domains

Dear Ernie,

We can offer you any of our hosting plans, both on US and Aus based servers with unlimited hosted domains.

You can view our hosting plans at: http://www.hightekhosting.com.au/hosting.php

Although our plans list a number of parked/addon domains, we only provide that as a guide.

We can allow unlimited domains at no extra charge.

If you wish to contact us further, please do so

You can contact us via email, phone or live chat on our website.

I look forward to hearing from you should you have any enquiries

Regards,

Dale Evans

Re: multiple domains

Dear Ernie,

I can offer you our equivalent to an "entry level" plan which is a shared hosting plan. It is $10 a month and you can check it out here:
http://www.webhostingdownunder.com.au/index-2.html
It has the ability to host multiple domains at no extra cost.

if you are after a reseller plan check out this URL: http://www.webhostingdownunder.com.au/index-10.html

If you are after a more customised reseller plan just pm me or go www.webhostingdownunder.com.au/livehelp to chat to myself.

Re: multiple domains

I'vae already mentioned Hostess...anyone know how many domains they allow?

Looks like the economy $49 p/yr 100mb storage 5 gb web traffic per month
Or the business $69 p/yr plan 250 mb storage UNLIMITED web traffic will do what I'm looking for (depending on domains allowed of course)

But I'd like to compare other offers and make a choice based on service & value for money

Ernie

Ernie,

I do believe that Hostess do not allow additional domains on one account, but I may be wrong.

As far as I'm aware, they do not provide a hosting control panel either or allow subdomains.

Food for thought

[quote=hightekhosting;45618]Ernie,

Their website does say the hosting packages come with a control panel....

However, I did email them yesterday about additional domains / reseller hosting...waiting on an answer

I failed to check their site for updated information. I was going based upon what I have been told.

Thanks for clearing that up

Re: multiple domains

Hi ernie,

We would be happy to tailor a custom Reseller Plan for $20.00/mth which should suit your requirement or you could consider our Personal Silver Plan which offers 5 Add-On domains - see http://www.gdwebhosting.com.au/personal.php for $9.95/mth.

Feel free to contact us should you require further information.

Cheers.

Re: multiple domains

It's still early on Monday morning...I have not had a reply from Hostess yet.
But a quick look at the Hostess plans I might be interested in at $5.80 per month they offer 250 mb space with unlimited web traffic. or for just a shade over $4 per month I can have 100mb space and 5gb web traffic...
Whilst I appreciate that others here in WHT are making discounted offers, these 'offers' are still considerably more expensive than Hostesses 'non discounted' hosting packages.

Now I do realise that hosting packages between various companies are different (and it's hard to compare them)but I'll wait for Hostess to respond to my question regarding how many domains they allow on their plans - before considering more 'expensive' alternatives.

EDIT..

I'm getting a few messages asking for clarification of my hosting needs, so Just to recap...

Looking for Australian based servers only.

Comparable storage space to the Hostess plan(s) I mentioned earlier
Comparable web traffic to the Hostess plan(s)...

I would consider a multi domain account OR I may also consider a entry level reseller hosting plan (even though I don't presently have clients that need hosting)
