Hello All,

I was wondering if people can tell me where I can get decently priced 1U Servers in Australia? for my US colo needs I get them from colomachine and rackmountsetc, but considering the AUD has depreciated so bad lately and the cost of US-->AU shipping being $200USD! I've decided to look for a local maker.

Can anyone give me some places to source 1U servers, where prices are crazy?

The price of any specific server really depends on the parts within the server, ie amount of memory, hard drive size, if you use RAID technology and the speed of the server. You then have other options such as remote access and extra power supplies, the more redundant and more powerful the server the greater the cost. If you have the specifications of your requirements shoot me an email and ill get a quote to you.
The other option as suggested above is to buy second hand equipment, from places such as Ebay and Grays online Auctions, although with second hand equipment you always have the risk of faults etc with no support and warranty. The upside to second hand equipment is you can pickup a great product at a great price.
