MYOB as a Service

Web Hosts Australia have just finalised the set up of our MYOB as a Service system

This allows you to host your MYOB file(s) on our servers and access them remotely or have your accountant simply log in to view and work on your accounts

All that is required is for you to have a current MYOB licence

Features
  • Upload your MYOB file to the server via FTP
  • Use your current MYOB user licence
  • Download a file which creates an icon on your desk top for easy access
  • Click on it to open terminal access to your data file
  • The use of a terminal system means there is no need to download and upload data you are editing it live on the server and in turn no large Bandwidth usage
  • Data can be accessed from any computer with Internet Access
  • Multiple users options available eg instead of having to send a data file to your accountant they can log straight in and the same goes for remote employees
  • Option of a USB Key without which the file cannot be accessed for added security
  • Secure offsite storage of your data
  • Secure off server back up option
  • All versions of MYOB supported
This service is not yet available through our site and has so far only been offered to our existing clients and WHT AU members so if you would like to obtain a FREE one month trial please just send me a PM

Regards
Angus

Re: MYOB as a Service

$39 per month Andrew

We have still to finalise pricing for add ons such as the USB key but they would be a one off

regards
Angus

Re: MYOB as a Service

It's actually quite a good idea. I would've never thought of hosted MYOB.

Have you had much interest in it so far? I'm not planning to startup anything as a competition, simply interested!

Re: MYOB as a Service

We haven't really promoted it yet and the servers were installed over the weekend hence the offer of one month free if anyone would like to try it out

Someone asked about other programmes which could be supported and the answer is yes to any programme where, like MYOB the licence is contained in the data file so you are paying for the file not the actual software installation

Cheers
Angus

Re: MYOB as a Service

Good idea for a service, unfortunately it will be redundant within 12 months, but may be useful for other software that requires a similar service.

not sure Angus is claiming to be a trail blazer as this service has been around for a while now, and exactly why will it be redundant? do you not think it will be like everything else and have multiple providers offering the same service?

And to think some silly people thought they were buying overpriced hosting companies because it was a good investment........

Re: MYOB as a Service

Ah well I guess the whole point of this thread before it gets dragged right off topic is that right now they don't and people still have to do their accounts

So to return to the topic in hand if anyone is interested in a free trial or has any queries please let me know

Cheers
Angus
