That's true
In actual fact, has there been a release of official pricing yet for adverts on here?

iNet are being made aware of people's IP numbers when someone reports not seeing predominantly AU ads. Systems will be tweaked and these issues will resolve. They're certainly not being ignored.

Gary, has advertising prices been set in stone yet? Or will I have to communicate with iNet directly?

Not that I'm aware of, and yes that would probably be your best bet.

Not sure if this helps, but the top banners are ALWAYS Australian - ie. 100%
The banners on the ride side are almost always US - about 80-90% US.
Not sure why the top is always Aussie but that right is not ... just some food for thought.

Are the Aus advertisers banners starting to run low on impressions as for the past 3 days I've been mainly getting OS ads with the occassional Aus provider banner popping up

I've been getting quite a few too - they went good for a while, now its mainly back to the US ads.

Given that I haven't seen any effort to encourage members here to advertise it is hardly surprising and if it is CPM then as a US company I am not sure how pleased I would be to see my ads burning up impressions here when they would provide a better return on WHT US - but that's their problem
Cheers
Angus

All in all - welcome to the US.
"OUR" aussie forum is no longer.
I still get nothing but US ads - at first is was only on the large right-side ads, of late it now includes the top banner ads too ... Right now, its Planet Alpha.
Soon there will be spell checks forcing us to spell cheques as checks, and specialise and specialize.
Not happy Jan - but, life is life - I think I'll just be spending less and less time here - no point spending time here when it has been highjacked and become a US forum.
Also kind of a stand point in that now the Aussie Forum has US ads to our 'potential' clients - so we have now suddenly got more competition - so why be here at all.
/end rant

Swish, if I can just say the reason for hanging in here is, it allows people such as myself to identify Aussie based, Aussie owned hosts. Myself as an aussie customer of some people in here (most don't know it though ), I prefer to be able to come here and see what is on offer in the local advert section.
I have been in web site development (design and development) for many years. I know this is off topic to the advert issue, but felt even though I am one voice that maybe some of you would know that the knowledge you share is appreciated by a wider audience.
As for the topic of adverts, local vs US, I too have seen an increase in the number of Overseas adverts with OS pricing on them. I think the issue could be though that many of you are not taking the opportunity up to purchase ad space, maybe???

I think its more everybody has pre-purchased their ads on the old system which was per month, and not per impression. The new system is on impressions, and I believe they usually give you XX impressions per month. If the impressions start to run dry by the end of the month, then there are fewer impressions for us, and the bigger WHT-US advertisers ads get displayed here.
