Does anyone here have a ChumbyŽ?

From the Internode site 12-11-2008

Internode is the first company to offer chumbyŽ, the breakthrough Internet device, in Australia. Launched today, chumby constantly streams your favourite parts of the Internet to its 3.5 inch colour touchscreen.

So who's got one or is going to get one?
Cheers

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, not something I would make use of.

Looks very interesting. Waiting for price to come down first. $299 is too expensive IMHO.

Think I'll grab a 2009 version when Internode have them.
As for why, I'm always looking at new technology to see what can be achieved with them, and how to make my life easier

An iPhone is technology. A Chumby is a fad, a very small one at that.
Much like iMode and PocketSMS from Telstra.

I tend to agree with Cheyne on this one, it's more of a fad gadget rather than ground breaking technology. Just waiting for my teenager to say she wants one

Telstra didn't market it correctly. Having a cartoon jump around on a tv advert isn't going to sell something when nobody really understand what it is...
Just take a look at Optus, they implemented push to talk, the service hasn't been taken up by many considering the large number of Nokia phones which support PTT... Buy anyways.
