A few simple designs....

From how I read the brief, Gary and the team simply wanted to 'Australianise' the current trademarked logo.

Plus do not copy my work, mate, your first two submissions are just mine with added extras.

lol dont give me that, They maybe similar, but i didnt "copy". If you look at my site, you can see i used similar designs before...

Kinda hard to be 100% original tho with an existing logo.
What more can you do than, add the flag, the southern cross, the union jack or a combo of all!
Hell, i had a bunch of other ideas and other logos i didnt upload i guarantee are similar to other entries either coming or already shown here...

really, the forum should be reskinned a lil so it doesnt look so much like WHT. Even if its just darkening the blue gradients to a more Aussie Flag Blue

Well not consciously in any case, but ye, i guess the southern cross was probably inspired by the above version. since its basically the same thing with the stars positioned better.

What can we see about making the aussie flag the entire header with webhostingtalk logo on top in a similar position to it is now?

I dont think that would work to well considering the different screen res people use. I like it how Vee has it.
I was thinking we should color the whole skin more of an aussie flag blue, but i like it like Vee has it. Kinda looks like the sky

I like Vee's entry too. It's larger than the current image. Making it even more unique.

I agree with Mike, also as Fenix said possibly would look even better without the .AU

I think the AU works well in Vee's, but I prefer the way "Australia" is in the current logo, under "Talk".

The flag may be a bit too prominent as well, as it's almost washing out "Web" part of the title. It should be more "background'ish" (opaque is probably the word I'm after).
