TPG ISP & Internode

Has anyone had problems with TPG ISP & Internode ISPs? Im looking for a home ISP and these two seem the best for caps and prices.

Hi Jake

I've used TPG in the past, they we're OK for the price.

I've never used Internode, but they get a lot of positive comments in Whingepool so they must be doing something right.

Re: TPG ISP & Internode

Our business clients generally use Internode at their offices and we have rarely had a problem with connectivity or downtime.

That being said, you're not really comparing apples with apples. TPG is a budget provider and Internode is a fair few pegs up on the ladder..

I agree with Mike. I currently use TPG and they've been solid, and support has been really good.

Never used Internode but they get a lot of good reviews so they must be doing something right.

Re: TPG ISP & Internode

I use internode and they are great. I have a couple of friends with TPG and they hate it because of the proxy setup they have. The only reason they are still with them is because of the rediculous download limit.

Re: TPG ISP & Internode

The stupid TPG Peak/Off Peak times concern me. I dont like having a limit during the day when mostly everyone is online. Sure Midnight is a good time to talk to North America but its stupid for aussies.

I've been with Internode for... 5 years or so in 3 different premises. They've been absolutely rock solid for me and any issues have always been addressed promptly.

TPG are ok. but they always seem to have a better promo deal than the one you're on.

I've been with Internode for 2 years now with no issues whatsoever. As others have said, rock solid connection and great value.

Re: TPG ISP & Internode

Exetel has been screwing around with my quota again! I bought 4GB a month for home use and I expect to get 4GB! Not the 12GB they are trying to foist onto me now! $55pm

Re: TPG ISP & Internode

Jake, Internode are the better quality ISP and have great unmetered content and their recent increase in quotas have made me regret choosing Exetel. I'll probably switch to Internode in a few months time when I run out of stuff to download with Exetel's off peak allowance (and when my contract ends).

TPG are known more for poor customer service but their service quality is above average and I wouldn't hesitate much to recommend them.

Bottom line: I'd go with Internode, the only problem with them is usually the price but that doesn't seem to be much of an issue for what you seem to need.

Ha, I got the 12GB/48GB "TELJ" plan 2 months ago for $55pm and the plan below is now 12GB with my plan up to 20GB. Hope they know what they're doing.

I have to say the support I have received from TPG has been great. Speeds, etc leave a little to be desired, but pretty solid nonetheless.
