OK.
Your accountant will bork at this package as I couldn't see an easy way to generate a P&L and Balance sheet (or whatever we're calling them these days - Statement of Finical Position??), or a way to generate a tax summary for the period to do your BAS. This is not compliment.
You will need to manually enter the tax tables (for both PAYG and GST).
Doing a bank rec will be painful with lots of double entry compared to what you can do with MYOB.
My advise would be to use Excel / Open Office Calc or some other spreadsheet application for record keeping.
The ATO has a package called e-Record (
http://www.ato.gov.au/erecord) this is free to use and your accountant won't go WFT as they can extract the info they need to prepare a tax return...
If you go down the path you've chosen expect big accounting fees, those that outweigh the cost of a professional package running on a remote desktop service if remote access is a MUST.
Angus posted above he's got a setup with remote desktop if you provide your own key? Well a MYOB Account Plus key is about $500 for up to 4-5 files and this will save you ten fold in the long run..
