Quick one for the Brisbane guys

I was wondering which wholesale computer component (Motherbords, ram, hard drives etc) suppliers you have found to have the best aftersales support?

I have been having some issues with my suppliers, so I am looking to move on.

Desktop or Servers ?

Desktop hardware I'd say Umart at Milton, Unless of course they are the ones your having problems with. I've only have 1 problem with them when they made me get the RN Number myself.

All other times I've had a problem they've tested and gone "yes this is DOA, Here is your new one"

Severs I use SUN haven't had a problem yet.

Maybe Austin, I've used them many times.
They gave me a American power supply, which Blew up.

I took it back and they replaced it right away.
So, yea, Austin.

Many years ago in 1993 I started my first hardware reselling business firestorm Australia, we built servers and desktops using name brands such Intel, Tyan, Matrox, WD, Seagate, creative labs … etc etc the list goes on supplied by people like Ingram Micro, Multimedia technology, times international … we use to build and ensemble hardware for a range of clients… now a days we stick to vendor total solutions such as Dell, IBM, Sun and HP. If we need a desktop or server we buy a complete system from one vendor, this makes technical support issues, driver issues and warranty much easier to deal with as compared to what we call “whiteboxs” build yourself servers / workstations.

The support from all the above vendors are far greater than any single supplier of individual parts, when you buy from a distributor.

You could also try Auscomp Computers or MSY

Altech and Dickerdata are also pretty good.
