First of all, theres no such thing as unlimited. Likely they have just set your real limit up and you only have 128mb left.
Id say they have just moved to a new server, and are having some setup issues, or the new network cant handle the traffic.
They state in their TOS they do not automatically transfer customers to new versions of plans when the plans are updated, nor are price increases passed on, so if they have changed your plan, then they shouldnt have.

It took them three years to set up my real limit? Well ok... fine, but that's pretty slow going.

Re: MD Webhosting changed my plan?

Umm how do you figure that?
I haven't even used the quota they would normally offer in a regular personal plan...
I was just always under the impression i had unlimited quota seeing as my cpanel said "Unlimited Megabytes". Now all of a sudden I find there was a limit and I am very close to reaching it.
I've gone from "Unlimited Megabytes" available to "188mb" overnight.
If there was supposed to be a limit, you'd think they could have implemented it in the cpanel... oh, say, a few years ago?

LOL.
Dale, you're having bad day today? Just that this is the second response I've seen from you in a terse tone. I've got some Valium here, want some?
Nothing else to say, moving on.

Hehe,
Well I dunno what Hightek or any other hosting provider is like but I'd like to think most customers would prefer 0 BS and good service than lots of BS and back rubbing but a crap end product.
Oh wait, maybe that's the subliminal message Dale is sending.. Dale, do you have a license to drive that message sender?

Hi BasTyra,
Turns out you were on an a very old legacy plan: the package details were not copied over to your new server.
Anyway, I have upgraded your account with the same bandwidth and disk space as our current Business plan, this should alleviate your concerns.

No their not. My staff are number one. They know their jobs and are exceptional at doing them. Customers swear black and blue that something is wrong and it was our fault. Then say nothing when we finally get them to retype the userid and password. The thing they were asked to do in the first place.
They refuse because it's always worked when Windows has managed it. Never thinking that they may have touched another key while clicking into their site.
Indeed, that attitude will have my customers looking for another host. I do not need the aggravation from idiots who just yell and scream.
Must ad something about that to my T&C's "Idiots will not be tolerated and will have their accounts terminated at the end of the period."

Does anyone remember MD ever offering "Unlimited" plans? If they had, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed.
Liar, liar pants on fire.
What was the earlier comment someone made? Slow ping rates? MD are set to no echo, so I'm pretty sure the ping rates would suck at never pinged. Who ever posted that seems to have taken a guess and missed completely.

I have no idea what the original quota was meant to be, i signed up back in 2005, my memory isn't that good.
I'm saying my cpanel said "unlimited megabytes" for 3 years then the other day it was changed.
You'd think they could have set up the quota properly ages ago.
I'm not sure what comment you are referring to in regards to ping rates.
