Well just to let off a little of my frustrations,

I paid the above $80.00 threw pay pal last night, Then tonight they decide to close up shop and refund me $20.00 they say the rest will be in a few days,

Anyone else on WHT-AU deal with these guys,

Just wondering if i will ever see the $60.00

Not flaming them what dealing i had with them last night "LUKE" was very nice guy to deal with,

We apologise. We're refunding alot of people at the moment, and I can assure you, you WILL get the extra money.

I have a transfer going into PayPal within the next few days from the bank, and we will pay you asap.

We're sorry everyone, too many issues and we just weren't able to solve them in a timely matter - and to make sure we could please customers as much as possible, instead of downtime for the next day or more, we've begun refunding.

I've also spoken to another host, who have offered to gladly provide a free month of shared or reseller hosting, the equivalent of what you had through us. Let me know via support@connexthosting.com.au if you would like to take this offer.

Hi Guys,

I have a server online. I spoke with Dale from Hightek Hosting who has convinced me to give it a second chance.

We're hoping our very supportive customers would like to stay on board, and if so we're offering all customers their next month free as per our SLA guarantee

We have a server currently online with the most up to date backup we could access. We're hoping to be online soon, just waiting for cPanel to be reactivated.

I'd like to thank all the very very kind hosts that have offered to help us through this, and especially Dale who convinced me its not the end but once again, thanks everyone.

Mat from your Twitter post it looks like your upstream provider gave you the run around. Whould you mind sharing so we don't come by the same fate. Personally i thought you guys were doing it right.

Just remember real people paid you real money to provide them with a real service.

Next time an issue happens, just be honest with your customers...a little down time, no biggie, but to shut up shop, refund etc is a little dramatic, if it turns out it could of been overcome.

TBH i would rather have the option like he has given his customers. Luke has been extreamly open... "Guys all broken, you can wait for it to come up or take your cash" rather then the normal "It will be up soon We promise" crap.

Thats the thing though, they have not offered a 'wait or take cash' option they offered a "its all broke i am out of here" option.

Read the sites I link to above, unless changed read "refund by the 6th of July, no longer providing services".

Having said all that, good luck to Connexthosting et al...if they can come back strong and provide a real service then I hope they succeed. As I said, just be open and honest to paying customers.

Exactly. What if we were unable to get something online?
We did this to make sure all parties involved were pleased.

However. We're currently speaking with another Australian based provider regarding a possible partnership. Not mentioning any names yet as it isn't 100% official.
