Thunder Thursday... (9/7/2009)

So... another day in paradise but today, it comes with stormy weather with lightening and thunder included in the package but that's how I like it...

What's everyone else up to on this rather fine day? Looking forward to the weekend?

P.S: Anyone care to take this flu off my hands?

Cheers,
Matt.

Poor Matt...

I'm still in bed half asleep... I got myself a nice long sleep last night so I'm happy.

Gotta take one of my Vans down to get a pinkslip shortly as she's due for rego soon.

Re: Thunder Thursday... (9/7/2009)

got a call from my mum complaining that her internet doesnt work.

went through a preflight check making sure all the proper lights were on and cables were connected correctly.

looks like im going to have to pop round tonight to check configurations.
sorely tempted to set up a remote access solution but with a dynamic IP i feel i will have to set up a script to update a file to tell me what the IP is.

sometimes i hate having to do work that makes my life easier

What ISP are you with Daemo? You can often check the current IP address by logging in to the control panel on the ISP's website.

bigpond cable.
not sure about the IP in their control panel. ill have to find the password for that again too.

they used to have a little systray application that would let you monitor the usage which i had installed on my laptop so i could check the usage from anywhere but iirc that stopped working a while back.

Has anyone seen The gods must be crazy? Or maybe it's number 2...

It has actually got a really deep insight into how the more civilized man does to make things easier, the harder he makes things.... In the end it finishes by showing that to make life "easier" civilized man sentences his children to 20 years grueling education before they can even handle this "easy" life. I thought i was hilariously insightful.
