    Transfering website to YardVPS
    Hello!

I have made a backup of the website files and database files, I currently host with Arvixe, and I want to transfer it to a VPS.

I bought Grass 3(unmanaged) on YardVPS but the problem is, I dont see any way how to transfer it... I have the files on my VPS, what do I do now ?

I can acess a panel where I can reboot, shutdown, boot (and so on) my VPS but I dont see like any cPanel...

Please help me... I can share teamviewer if its needed I really need help.

    Thank you so much !!

You need to hire somebody to set it up for you.

You need to login via SSH using a client such as putty, install a ftp server and upload your webfiles to /var/www/ (most likely depending on distro)

As for your database, you will need to install a mysql server (probably using apt-get install mysql-server and import your existing databases, then update your config.php or whatever you have with your website.

Its fairly straightforward once you do it once...

You kinda forgot to install a HTTPD server, update the httpd.conf/sites-available, etc, etc.

It's a VPS, chances are its already got apache or similar setup....
Besides, honestly if OP doesnt even know how to setup a VPS, he probably doesnt need one...

Assuming both VPSes have ssh running you can use rsync to transfer the entire contents of the old VPS to the new one. Type this on the old VPS:

    rsync -avz /folder-to-copy-from/ root@ip.of.new.server:/folder-to-copy-to/

You might want to do a dump of the mysql database and shuttle that over too.
