    Hi,

I believe a whois or dns lookup will give you these results.

    Hi davidson333

If you go into the command prompt and type in the command ping domain.com this will show you the IP address.

Once the IP address shows up from the ping results, you can go to http://www.whois.sc/ip-address (e.g - http://www.whois.sc/8.8.8.8 )
and the whois website will give you some information about that IP address and it's range.

http: // who . is (remove the spaces) can be very helpful for this too.

But remember, if they are using CloudFlare then getting the real IP might be tricky. And if they are using private whois it's also not easy to find additional information about the domain name owner.

Post WHOIS Details of an Website
    1. To check the domain name registrant information simply visit the website such as www.whois.net or web solution providers website like GoDaddy or http://www.tucowsdomains.com.
    2. Type in the exact web address or complete domain name of the website you are seeking information for.
    3. With a click or two (you might have to prove you’re not a robot), you’ll have the full registrant details.

An IP address is a unique string of numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network.

A domain name is a internet address that allows you to access services without requiring you to remember the IP address. DNS (Domain Name System) translates the domain name into an IP address in the background.

I believe that sums it up, but if you still don't quite understand, let me know and I will try to clarify it for you.
