Our emails going to gmail users end up in spam
Suddenly our emails are going to spam for gmail users.
My server guy has made some changes on the server but it hasn't fixed it.
    Any other suggestions?

I was looking at using Mandrill
    Will this fix my problem?

    Hi Woozie

Are you doing email marketing? Gmail have set up strong email filters to control spam and it can detect that email is coming from bulk mailing software. Keep the size of your email small and use less pictures.

For more details you can email team@21centurydigital.com.au

    Hi Woozie,

There is a number of things you can check.

One thing to check is what happens if you email a gmail email address with just plain text, i.e. "test" as the subject line. And "test" as the body. Does it go through?

You can conduct a lot more tests, but obviously without more information its a bit blind.

Feel free to PM post back here.

You need to check your mailserver IP address, if it is blacklisted there are chances of your emails getting delivered in spam box.

    Reverse DNS
Make sure your IP have a properly configured Reverse DNS.

Many e-mail servers are configured to reject (or sent to junk/spam folders) incoming e-mails from any IP address which does not have Reverse DNS.

Best to check your RDNS but would be easier if you posted the mail delivery response here for us to diagnose.

    Hey Woozie,

I hope you have rectified your issue, if not I suggest you setup PTR Records ( RDNS ). This may need to be done by your hosting provider or if you own your own IP's you can do this yourself via cPanel.

There is also a chance of it being blacklisted but yes, do some tests.

    Thanks for the replies.
I have RDNS and SPF and DKIM implemented and it didn't seem to fix the problem. Our IP is not blacklisted either.

I ended up using mandrill as our outgoing server and it fixed most problems, however I am now getting issues sending to hotmail.

    It's a complete mystery.

A lot of those services have their own blacklists, good luck trying to deal with Microsoft in getting those Hotmail listings removed. They are a bugger to deal with, pulling teath would be easier.
They have a website that you need to enter your IPs into and they will eventually remove the listing.
