    Webmail Blues . . .
    Hi Folks,

I am new to this forum and haven't introduced myself yet as I have a major problem . . . so I will cut to the chase.

I hope this is the right forum . . .

A webhosting client of mine outsourced a web designer who used the free Perl script (version 1.93) for the web form. I was told a few days ago, that the General Manager had stopped receiving webform notifications 2 weeks ago(even though I have been receiving them on a separate domain)

I just did a test with a new domain added and I think there is nothing wrong with the formMailer . . .although I did not receive an email on one domain I received 3 others over 2 domains. . . .

I think the error is on the client's end (mail* is pointing to their IP) they are running OS X and the GM's last message was I think the error is at your end . . ..

Now. is there a way of testing/tracing an email and/or receiving email receipts sent by a cgi? (My *nix knowledge is limited)and how do I do it?.

    Thanks in advance

    1. trace your mail server sending log
    2. if the sending bounce, there should be bounce reporting

Test an SMTP server by using telnet

Should be easy enough to follow

If you get bounced emails, here's some info to interpret those codes
