    Question Which is Better?
Linux web hosting or windows web hosting? I want know some pros and cons of Linux and windows web hosting.

Linux is generally faster, but you are unable to run some of the older ASP based websites on it. .NET Core is now the exception to this as this is truly multiplatform.

Windows is able to run ASP as well as everything else. But does have more overhead as Windows is really a General Operating System.

If you are going for say WordPress hosting I would suggest Linux as the best choice for speed.

Linux and Windows are two different types of operating systems. Linux is the most popular operating system for web servers. Since Linux-based hosting is more popular, it has more of the features web designers expect. So unless you have websites which need specific Windows applications, Linux is the preferred choice.

It really depend on your needs.
If you require ASP, then Windows, PHP then Linux.
Even though PHP runs on Windows as well.. it is more stable on Linux.
    Personally I prefer Linux.

True, it depends on the needs. I am using Windows and haven't tried Linux. Windows works for me but they say Linux is more secure. But then again, it still goes down to personal preference.
