Read the rules regarding Sig's.

What are you after in co-location/dedicated servers?

Look towards Brisbane, to pay by GB rather then mb.

What sort of specs are you looking at?

Not really having a go but your sig says Dedicated Servers from $99/m. You should probably remove that if you are asking how much dedicated servers are and find out how much first....

Those dedicated servers are located in the US. I want to find out how much they are in Australia.

Just pointing out what i noticed straight off after viewing the post and lending a new member a hand.

I thought that fot that price they would be US servers but potential customers may not.

Just wanted to let you know so that you could maybe be more specific if you placed that sort of thing in your signature. The new signature is fine.

Then perhaps I can point you in the right direction.

Very interested in a melbourne based (essential) colocation solution, looking at housing two 1U's initially.

Thank You

Site is down right now but I would check out Host Central for Melbourne co-location http://www.hostcentral.net.au

We have an application coming up soon that will require a LOT of ourbound traffic with 2-3GB inbound so this type of pricing is what we're after and likly going to get some space off them.

If you look to Sydney or Brisbane you can get some better deals.

I would stay away from them.

Bottle Domains use to co-locate equipment there and they've had nothing but issues. I belive they have moved into www.ozhosting.com now.

We are just alittle wary of shipping our equipment interstate, need to be able to have access to the machines in case of hardware failure, upgrading. We also have to take pricing into consideration, last thing we want to do is compromise quality of service for a meager few dollar saving. Systems in question are two dell poweredges initially, and seriously considering expanding into SPARC based servers.

Anyone have any experience with Powertel colocation?. I'll most likely enquire about their services on monday and find out if they can cater for our requirements, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!.

Powertel has a minimum of half a rack 12U and there is two different data charging types.

I'd look at www.co-lo.com.au/co-lo.html if your really after co-location at Powertel.

Regards
Brenden
