Review of free site visitor tracking tool.

Hi,
I'd like to get a bit of feedback regarding a new site visitor tracking tool that I've just released.

I know there are a lot of tracking and analytics apps out there, but I think (hope) this one offers a bit more than the norm.

It incorporates most features like referrer and page hits etc etc and displays everything in visually intuitive charts (with drill downs for more detail).

There are many, many features that I don't think are available anywhere else.

One of these features is the ability to track exit traffic.
If your visitor clicks on a link that sends them off to another site, the site that they have gone to is also recorded.

I'd really like to get any general impressions of the app and any features that may be missing.

I have to point out that currently the display is optimised for IE. In Firefox many things render like a dogs breakfast I'm still tweaking for FF

There is a demo account to look at or you can give a full version a try.

The url: Site Dynamics - Website Visitor Tracker / Counter

Any feedback good or bad would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Brad

Re: Review of free site visitor tracking tool.

Hey doom, thanks for the positive feedback.

I've actually 'just' installed a lot of new code which renders things correctly in Firefox (and other browsers).
There are a couple of options that still need to be tweaked, but the primary displays aren't such a dog's breakfast now.

The coding is done in php, ajax, javascript and a few custom routines in compiled C.

Thanks again for the feedback. Hopefully now it looks a bit nicer in Firefox I might get a few more ppl to have a sqiz.

Cheers

one small thing i don't like about it:

everything is squished up into the top of the page.

everyone hates scrolling but it just looks like you've tried to put as much as you can into that top menu bar.

Re: Review of free site visitor tracking tool.

Hey Daemo,
Thanks for the feedback.

The menu is actually designed that way.
With a screen res of 1024 width, it doesn't look quite so squished.
If you have a squizz under 'Systems Summary', you'll see that 43% of surfers have a screen width of 1024, so I designed the menu to ensure it was easily visible for at least that resolution.
Also, there are other options which will be going into the top menu frame further down the track.

I'd also like to add that virtually all of the Firefox 'display glitches' that I mentioned in previous posts, have been sorted out.

Cheers
